25th September 2017

Good afternoon everyone,

It's been a quiet week for me I've spent a lot of time at the National Memorial Arboretum trying to find memorials we have listed on the system finding a lot we don't. I also made time to have a cold during midweek, just shaking the last bit of now.

This weekend was our sandbag bash weekend is the campsite was fully booked for it which was nice. It was also nice meeting up with people from the regiment I haven't seen for 28 years! We spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon in the National Memorial Arboretum where I got told off twice because people's wants to give me money for the charities and of course the Arboretum is a charity I had to explain that I wasn't there fundraising mission. I also trouble on Tuesday morning when initially I wasn't allowed in on the scooter they told me it was too big, it's a standard class III and no different to the ones the size wise!

I found Tuesday, once been allowed in to be very emotional day finding all the memorials to the various regiments and services, of the four days going around was averaging about 10 miles a day in there and still haven't found everything! I did find memorials to the five boys we have lost in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.

I now heading back south towards Tidworth where I'm going to stop off and get some more mental health help before I head down to Salisbury and get the scooter serviced and checked before I start the winter stint, exact timescale is not known yet.
